Great Shot

Looks calming. The transperancy of the lake crossed with the crisp reflected image makes a great shot.

Beautiful shot

Really really nice. Is this just one shot or did you snap several pics and then merge them (HDR) to get the details both on the bottom of the pond and on the sky?

Thanks! I typically take 2-3 exposures to get good image quality over the entire range - so that's probably what I did here.

great calm on the large lake

Good selection of granite rocks as the many rocks there create quite a selection puzzle for each photographer. Three decades ago shot a nice 35mm Kodachrome at this location. Subsequently have tried to capture it with large format during a few trips. Each time this large lake has not been too calm. Quite like your natural rendering of the sunrise light that nails the real experience.
