different

I have never seen anything like this. Is it a metal trail? What is the angle, it is hard to tell if the tree is leaning or not.

Re: different

ok now I get it, I was looking at some of your other photos and I read your description and saw this at different angles. very interesting. how old are these? Thanks for showing me a different part of the world. I would like to visit but until then I am exploring the links to the Carpathians that this page lead me to.

Thanks
Jeff

Hi Jeff,
you did not see this photo at an different angle. Simply, there are miles and miles of trails like this in the Slovak paradise. This one is wood, some are metal. Some are flat, some are quiet steep, almost like ladders, and some are vertical ladders, the longest one reaching 100 metres. Most of these trails were started in 1920s and so on, some are well preserved, and some are tricky, missing wood. I even had to walk in cold water at some sections... Great place to visit, and still relatively cheap.
