The formation you're referring to is the Christian Brothers. We've climbed a few routes on it but they were mostly single pitch things. Kinda waiting for someone to do something more significant on it hopefully before it gets posted (like the Christian Brothers Traverse for example).

Welded Tuff

Where's the info on the orogeny of Smith Rock?
The rock of Smith Rock is what's known as welded tuff.
There isn't any mention of tuff anywhere. And don't say, "There's no tuff stuff, so tough!" Bleorg.
