Wow! What a difference a few hours can make! I took the top photo on the way to Wright Mountain around 9am, and took the bottom photo in nearly the same spot on the way back around 12pm. The morning was calm and produced one of the best lake views I have ever had, but on the way back the magic had faded. Most of the hordes of people going to the lake that day missed out. Alpine Lakes Wilderness, WA. 10-3-15
