Sultan, Francisco´s doggie. He came along with us through the whole trekking. He liked chasing cattle and eating snacks with us. (Jan.10.2011).

Yes, he lives in Achupallas at 3,400 m, but you'll find him most of the time above 4,000 m giving company to Francisco, our mule driver. He runs the 38 km Inca Trail back and forth in 4 days, I think he enjoys it :).

There was a time during the Inca trail hike when we almost got chased by a mad bull, but he steped in front and made him run away.

Sounds like a good dog, indeed!
Pretty impressive that he can run those kind of distances at those elevations.
