Various shots from 3 days in July

Preferring to take Sonora Pass to avoid the crowds of Yosemite I continued on south with a short side trip to the beautiful Twin Lakes area. Then on down to the Mono Basin where I van camped by Rush Creek (6,800') for a few nights. The creek was a foot over the banks with heavy runoff. This usually fishable stream-like creek was a roaring torrent to dangerous to enter!
Great summer weather with the the mornings quite cool waiting for the sun to come over the Mono Craters and warm things up. Returning in the late afternoon after a hike only to find shelter from the suns heat which slowly infuses itself with the landscape.

Parents

Parents refers to a larger category under which an object falls. For example, theAconcagua mountain page has the 'Aconcagua Group' and the 'Seven Summits' asparents and is a parent itself to many routes, photos, and Trip Reports.
