Photo Series of the Tea & Scrumpet Boulder Traverse
The 'Tea & Scrumpet' Boulder Traverse is one of the Carderock bouldering must-dos. It is easier from left to right: start on the Barnacle Face, flop around the 'Impossible Block' and then bridge the little cave over and onto the face of the Beginner's Crack alcove. It's V2-3 largely because it is sustained, and at least a grade harder in the other direction.
It's a high-ball 5.3 to continue up the crack to the top.....
