The bright Schöneck ridge and the dark Tschenglser Hochwand (3375m) towering behind the Düsseldorfer Hütte (2721m)

The contrast is just a coincidence; the Tschenglser Hochwand is directly next to the Schöneck ridge, and of similar rock, but it happens to be in the shade of one of the few clouds in the sky. I've zoomed in a bit to take this photo. From where I'm standing, the Düsseldorfer Hütte is some 3 km away (and also about 300 m higher); the Tschenglser Hochwand is 2 km further behind. 28 Aug 2014.
