The Buttress

The Buttress

The Buttress (left) veiled in a mist while a late summer snow storm was clearing. Minutes earlier we were hiking in a white out. Photo taken from Upper Titcomb Lake, August 27, 2004.

Re: WOW!

It is a nice shot. I think I voted 4 stars, but am not 100% positive. I can see how someone would vote 3 stars, and I don't think it is a photo of the week. SP sometimes doesn't process photos as well as we all would like, since I have had great photos not come out so well on SP. It isn't a big deal. I am glad you added this photo.

Re: WOW!

I agree that it is not photo of the week caliper. However, if you look closely you'll see that there is nothing wrong with the photo quality. Perhaps you thought so because the mountains in the background are shrouded in a mist. Notice that the foreground is clear. When I was there, the mist gave it an even more surreal appearance than what the lense captured.
