Great viewto the classic north face route:the ramp, traverse of gods, exit cracks and the final snow field... Yes it's a dream of each climber. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for your vote!I sat there in Kleine Scheidegg for several hours, just staring at that mountain.
I have wanted to see the Eiger since I was in elementary school. Dream realized, at long last.
:)

Great photo of the Eiger NordwandI was there in April several years ago. Not much snow at the station, but plenty on the mountain in front of Kleinde Scheidegg. I think it's called Lauberhorn. I climbed it to the summit in full condition. It was cold but not -5 F.
I was looking for a partner crazy enough to climb the Eiger with me. Thank God nobody agreed to go. Too early in the season.

Re: Great photo of the Eiger NordwandMarc,
I enjoy hearing climber's stories about the Eiger. The more I read about that mountain, the more I want to know all about it.

Have you seen the movie?"The North Face", a feature length film based on a true story. Produced in Germany, all in German with English subtitles. A FANTASTIC movie, go see it. Gave this great shot a 10, as I have on all that I've looked at

Re: Awesome!Thanks, Jarpup!
That photo of mine just doesn't do that place justice.
I am heading back there in early October to spend a few more days around the Eiger/Moench/Jungfrau.
Needless to say, I can't wait!
