Sounds and looks like you had a blast! Good thing you came along for that dad and kid, or we probably would have heard about them on the evening news! Great TR man!
I always enjoy hearing about the 'human' details when someone climbs. You had to battle the cold and winds and still help others to achieve your goal and you obviously enjoyed it all! As TJ311 suggested, if you aren't a writer, you should be, especially for SP. Thanks for sharing your experience with those of us who will probably never get to that climb.

I'm sure everyone racks up differently for this climb, but I took one each of #.5 through #2 Camalot C4's and a set of Stoppers and felt like I had plenty of pro. For slings I had 6-8 single lengths and 2-3 doubles. There are some good horns to sling and I even found some nice threads. As I said in the report, you'll find plenty of solid placements. I also highly recommend taking the Owen Chimney rather than the Catwalk to add another amazinlgy fun pitch of technical climbing. You're going to love the route!
Summitting Mount Borah must have been an anticlimax after reaching the top of the Grand. I did the Grand Teton more than fifty eight years ago by the same route you took. My mountaineering ambitions then went further and higher to Popocatepetl, Orizaba, Rainier and the Matterhorn. Anyway congratulations.
Your report is descriptive and succinct. Very well-written! I felt like I was there on the Grand with you. I've yet to tag that USGS marker and hopefully will someday. I have summited Borah; definitely one of my personal favorites! Thanks for sharing your adventure! Cheers

Excellent Writeup.Every now and then I read a TR that will re-inspire me to get to the Tetons. This was one of the more powerful ones. Very well written.
If you ever need a partner, hit me up.
