A Little About Me
Since I read Richard Halliburton's books sixty five years ago at age 14, I have been fascinated with mountains. I climbed most of the famous peaks of the West and Mexico before I was 21 when I went to Europe in the army and got to the top of the Matterhorn (pictured here) and Mont Blanc. Since then I have climbed in the Andes (Huayna Potosi, Vallunaraju, Huascaran) and done two treks in the Nepalese Himalayas (Everest Base Camp, Muktinath-Kali Gandaki-Annapurna Sanctuary). People who look up to mountains are mostly idealists and dreamers. I've never met a bad person on a mountain.
On October 10, 2012 (10/10/12), I turned seventy nine. I'm doubly lucky in all respects.
