Nice easy walkNice walk up to the fire lookout. Probably my favorite lake views from my trip to the park were actually from the Watchman or the base of the Watchman.

Crater Lake 7 Summits on the rim properClimbed as part of our 7 summits on the rim proper. Started with a double of Garfield Peak and Applegate, followed by a double of The Watchman and Hillman Peak, then Llao Rock, CloudCap, and Dutton Cliffs as singular climbs in the same day.
Watchman is very straightforward with a nice large wide trail all the way to the top. Nice views from around the lookout tower.

12 peaks in 2 daysA solo trip which I started with Misery Ridge at Smith Rock. From there I stopped for a hike up Black Butte on my way to Crater Lake. At the lake I hiked up the 5 primary peaklets around the lake and a few minor ones before driving to Yamsay Mountain for the final hike. See the trip report.

West Rim DuoMy nephew and I climbed Watchman and Hillman in the morning on our way out after a couple of days in the Park. This was the best weather day and we were sad to leave, but had to get back to PDX.

winter scramblehad a nice backpacking/snowshoe trip with my girlfriend into CLNP. Experienced a January heat wave, and scrambled up The Watchman in single layers. Spectacular views from the summit! Great winter goal.
