Climbed as part of our 7 summits on the rim proper. Started with a double of Garfield Peak and Applegate, followed by a double of The Watchman and Hillman Peak, then Llao Rock, CloudCap, and Dutton Cliffs as singular climbs in the same day.
Watchman is very straightforward with a nice large wide trail all the way to the top. Nice views from around the lookout tower.

A solo trip which I started with Misery Ridge at Smith Rock. From there I stopped for a hike up Black Butte on my way to Crater Lake. At the lake I hiked up the 5 primary peaklets around the lake and a few minor ones before driving to Yamsay Mountain for the final hike. See the trip report.
My nephew and I climbed Watchman and Hillman in the morning on our way out after a couple of days in the Park. This was the best weather day and we were sad to leave, but had to get back to PDX.
Chilly 20 degree morning. Thankfully the sun was merciful on us as we hiked to the top. Neat morning views about 8 am.
Lookout Tower is still in use.
...to a great viewpoint. Thanks to my daughter Hannah, who consented to this detour after our horseback ride.
Great light evening hike with excellent views of Carter Lake and surrounding areas.
What a place!
Did on PCT hike. Got up there for sunrise. Great view point.
Went to the Watchman and other points during a trip to Crater Lake.
Nice hike up to the top. Was hoping to hit Hillman Peak too, but ran out of time.
Might try to snowshoe out to the Watchman once the park opens back up...
Nice walk up to watch the sunset and look down on next day's destination: Wizard Island.
Still snow covered, so monkeyed straight up the middle of the north slope, caught the last few feet of the trail. What a viewpoint!

Nice, easy hike. Still a good amount of snow.
Easy hike, the historic lookout on top is pretty cool.
Did this with my brother, and a friend named Ken a few years back. We started with The Watchman, moved over to Hillman Peak, and finished with Llao Rock. The watchman is just a walk to the top on a paved trail if I remember correctly. A nice spot for those who don't want to be scrambling and still want the view.

Climbed this a couple years again in June.
Way cool in the winter! Very icy west-facing slopes. Weird ice formations about the trees
