The westernmost of the Kofler Lakes

Just a few kilometers south, bad weather is brewing over Magerstein (3273m) and Schneebiger Nock (3358m). It wouldn't be a good place to be right now. I don't think I'm going to stay dry much longer, but I'm much lower, not far above the tree line, so if it turns into a thunderstorm I'll be in the relative safety of the forest. 28 July 2014.
