Thank you Rok!! I don't know did you read 'Warning' section but it is not smart to move away from the road! You wouldn't want to step on mine :-) But road is safe and scenery beautiful, you pass just below Tulove Grede and can have a good look at them. There is one more thing; last time I've been there parts of the road were in quite bad condition, I don't know if they were fixed lately but I doubt that before area is cleared. Bad road is in a way guarantee that less people will go there. So if you are travelling with familly and have car full of things don't go, only if your car is light! I'm planing to go there to see the situation soon so I'll notice you about the road, I think that is best.
Thanks, Sasa.I read warning section (I have made a remark on one of your photo). My family is not very interesting in mountaneering, especially not in places when there is no shadow. But it could be interesting, of course without mines. Maybe in future.Regards ROK
Thanks Mark! Yes, quite a bang :-) Some of the most beautiful karst formations on entire Velebit are found on SE Velebit, which is lowest. But 3700 feet on Velebit are 3700 feet because massif is rising from the sea so absolute height is also relative height ;-)
You know, looking at your pictures turned my emotions on so I couldn't wait so I drove to Dizin this night, Dizin is about 70Km far from Tehran a great road that goes in the mountains, it was fully covered by snow :) I'll hope I'll visit Velebit some day before I die...

Untitled CommentAs usually, at least 4 stars...
I have some photos with "beware of mines" sign. Should I submit them?

Untitled CommentThanks Sven!! It isn't necessary to post several such photos. Add one with nice background, if you have, to 'Warning' section.
