Cheile Turenilor (RO) belong in the most picturesque karst phenomenons in Cluj county, situated in the northernmost part of the Trascău Mountains. This remarkable ravine is almost 2 km long and its towering cliffs reach the height of more than 100 meters. So far, almost 30 caves were identified in this territory, most of them being clogged and inactive. Since 1993 Tureni gorges have been protected as mixed nature reserve and archaeological park as well.
