Re: Ouch !

Thank you Rob. Yeah, it's pretty serious, a compound fracture of my tibia and fibula on my right leg. I got a titanium rod from my knee to my ankle now. Hopefully, I'll be walking again by September.

Re: Ouch !

Welcome to the Titanium Body Parts Club ;)

When I broke my foot two years ago and was in a non-weight-bearing cast I went to the gym and worked out anything I could on the weight machines .. kept me a little saner. Wishing you a trouble-free recovery !

It happened in the Eldorado Creek Basin on July 2nd. A mistake on my part, really just happy to be alive. I'll write up a full trip report soon.

Talk to you later.

Dude!

Hope you heal soon. Glad it was not worse. Take it easy, man. At least now you can catch up on your Oprah and Jerry Springer episodes.

Re: Dude!

Thanks a lot Brian. I think I have watched Sportscenter about 25 times in the last 2 weeks, and I don't really even like sports that much. :-)

Re: Dude!

When you are up for some beers, we should plan an SP get-together in your neck of the woods so you can get out!
Best wishes, man. Hang in there, you'll be back before you know it.

Re: F&#@!

Hi Misha. Sorry about the late response, I haven't logged into SP in months. Thanks for the positive words.

I fractured my leg is multiple places and had to get a titanium rod inserted. About 8 weeks on crutches and another 3 months of rehab, and I am hiking again. Just doing some really easy stuff to get back in shape at the moment. Probably going to stick with scrambling / hiking, and maybe some easier climbing in the future. I was very fortunate to have stopped where I did.

Take it easy.

Martin
