Golden Horn shoots South off the plateau that splits Fredricka Creek and Skolai Creek. It is not the high point of that plateau that can be seen like a sand pile in the middle. This horn is orangish-yellow. This color’d rock section here was prospected a while back and I was told by bush pilot that it had a lot of fossils but no one has been there since.
From Skolai Airstrip head West 7.5 miles, 4000 ft alone the USGS marked horse trail (but not on NatGeo Map) which nearly leads to the base. Requires crossing Skolai Creek and Fedricka Creek. No glacial travel necessary. Probably 3 day trip out and back from Skolai Airstrip. Be Bear Aware.
Ascend scree to the summit. There are no known documented ascents.
