If you are going to hike along the main ridge of the Low Tatras, replenish your water supply here as – except for another spring nearly 700m to the east, at about 1240m – there will be no water on or near the crest until you get to Ďurková hut, which is 18km away. Bear in mind there are thirsty bears around too. (I saw a fresh bear paw print at the spring the morning I was there.)
