Polish is more like Czech :)

Actually, the "i" is Ukrainian, the Polish word is szypot. Where Polish or Czech has an "o", Ukrainian often has an "i" (e.g. pop-pip for an Orthodox priest, Tarnopol-Ternopil for the city where my father was born).

I've been there only once and it was a long time ago, when I was a teenager.
