Why

is there a bell om the summit? I have never seen that in the Dolomites or other Alpine groups.

Hello Ejnar,
true, the bell is not a very popular summit- peak signal, however this is not the only one: there is one very famous on the Campanile Basso di Brenta and on top of some other less famous peaks of the Dolomites...
