Deep WaterI think I'd prefer belly-deep snow! Very pretty! Bummer on the camera.

Challenging crossing...Good to know there are a number of us with such experiences. I darn near went downstream once in a crossing of the Elwha in the Olympics. In the end = good memories. Thanks for posting.

Re: Challenging crossing...Stu, glad you folks got to experience and enjoy the Olympics. They are indeed a wonderful place. I had the opportunity to live just upstream of Lake Quinault, next door to the North Shore Ranger Station for several years. Did a lot of trekking over the mountain passes.
