Virgin snow on our way to Mont Blanc de Courmayeur

Very different from the wide trail to the summit of Mont Blanc, nobody had ventured here for a long time so we had to figure it out for ourselves. Our plan was to follow the ridge as long as the going was good. However, soon we discarded that plan, and traversed the steep slopes on the right instead. And having seen the massive drop from the summit to the left, we were very careful on the last couple of meters... 11 July 2012.
