The view from Pine Island Ledge in the winter. This is the first view while coming down the ridge line and is quite steep down to the stream bottom. The elevation change from the stream to the ridge is just shy of 1,000 feet, which is quite substantial, considering the highest hills in this area of Pennsylvania are around 2,500 feet.
