A Griffin vulture flying in front of the Tennengebirge

This is the type of vulture one sees most often in the Krumltal. As on the day I was there I didn't manage to get any close shot of any of the Griffin vultures in wildlife, I am adding this photo that I took at the bird show at the castle of Hohenwerfen (Pongau, Land Salzburg, Austria)

That's not an eagle

It's a Griffin Vulture (Gyps fulvus):

Re: That's not an eagle

Thanks a lot, Diego - I will correct that immediately! I took this photo as well as the others at the bird show on Hohenwerfen castle (it was really worth seeing!), where all sorts of eagles, buzzards and vultures were shown and demonstrations of their flight habits were given (many a time I thought: wow - at least one airline that can't go broke!! ;-)). As on most of the pictures I shot unfortunately not all of the features of the bird came out, I got a bit confused as to which is which. Thanks for telling me, in any case! :-)
Many cheers,
Eric

Re: Beautiful capture...

Thanks - glad you like it, Marc!
This one I got after about up-teen tries during the bird show at the Werfen Castle!
Cheers,
Eric
