Wakely Mtn. Tower Restored

Please list Wakely Mtn. tower as restored. NYSDEC replaced the wooden steps and it is now in great shape! Thanks.

Re: Wakely Mtn. Tower Restored

Did they fix the guy wires on the structure as well? Was it painted? Was there safety fencing installed? Thanks for the update.

Re: Wakely Mtn. Tower Restored

I wouldn't say it's "like new". Don't recall there is safety fencing nor new guy wires nor painting. But definitely safe and stable in my book. It was a joy to see the new wooden treads on the steps. The old ones were definitely getting punky.
