Alpamayo

Our camp at ~5,400m below the amazing Alpamayo. If you look closely, you will see two climbers rappeling the French Direct route, right above the bergschrund in the center of the face. Despite the idyllic look, this is harsh living: can't stomach most of the food, don't get rested no matter how long you sleep, way below freezing temperatures at night, brutal dehydration and violent sun.
