We just did the same thing!

Ken Russell and I spent this past Saturday night at the summit of Bodie Mountain. He had no interest in the peak, but I convinced him to go due to its Top 200 Prominence status and central location to our next day's destinations (Buckhorn, White). We both loved the views from the summit, as well as the star-gazing that was possible due to such darkness/remoteness.
