I didn't go there in a day on my visit, but went to Mount Ruskin in a day. Similar distance with slightly more elevation gain and loss. Don't pack too heavy and getting to Bench Lake should be very doable. It's not so hot right now so that will make the ascent of Taboose Pass much better.

Years between ascents
I climbed Arrow Peak with 2 friends in June, 2013. I had first climbed the peak in 1967. I wonder if 46 years between ascents is a record. Probably unlikely, but how would one find out?
