At their southern boundary, the Badlands just rise out of the prairie. This picture also shows a slice of the main east-west ridge that makes for fun aimless scrambling. June 2008.

Hasn't voted | This was at sunrise (sun to the right) and I was fighting the lighting in various ways. The price of getting the grass right was getting the sky wrong.
