Big Baldy (ID)

We had this nice view of Big Baldy when we reached the 10.5 mile mark as we headed towards our goal of the day, Buck Lake. You can just see the lookout structure (using higher resolution). You might note the small lake (rare in this area) just below the rust colored peak in the foreground. That is Papoose lake.

Even with the aftermath of the fires, this pic looks awesome. Love to go there someday and do the sufferfest

	Hasn't voted	Thanks Mike, the beauty of the area is still there. If you know what you are expecting, then this hike isn't a bad thing. I'm hopeful that the Big Baldy page will give people an idea of what to expect and prepare accordingly.
