Re: Cool!CJ, You're absolutely right ~ no matter how docile these creatures seem I give them wide berth.
Last month a hiker was killed in WA Olympic's by a mountain goat.
Thanks for the comment.

Re: Cool!Outstanding shot, Foster!
I'm curious about the goat-related tragedy
that occurred in the WA Olympic's last month.
What's making these animals so angry? Will
wildlife ever be able to "adapt" to humans
coming into their territory ???

Goat attack...Here's one link, the inter-net has many more http://www.seattlepi.com/local/428578_hiker17.html
regarding the incident of the mountain goat attack in the Olympic Mountains of WA State. I've hiked around the Olympic goats quiet a bit and for the most part they appear docile. Regardless of appearences they are wild and powerful animals. The one time I was seriously challenged by a male on the curve of a narrow trail I lay facedown and used my old Sacs Millet for head coverage. The old goat backed off.

Great capture....... love to see them. We have many Desert Bighorn in this area, and Rocky Mountain Bighorn in the higher country.

Re: NiceFunny, I took the shot of that elk on the same day as my profile pic, about 3 years ago. Climbing in Silverton and came back to that guy laying beside my truck.
