This view looks mostly south, upstream along the Rio Grande (Rio Bravo del Norte). It's a nice illustration of the Chihuahuan Desert community that dominates Big Bend National Park. The state of Texas (United States) is on the right (west) while the state of Chihuahua (Mexico) is on the left (east). January 2010.
