Curious Uinta Ground Squirrel

A ground squirrel's life is a hazardous one, with badgers, coyotes, and other predators all around. But I only wanted to take this little guy's picture, and was rewarded with a nice pose. Photo taken mid-June 2008, on the Lamar Valley Trail, Yellowstone NP.

It's also hazardous

when you place a post on one of those SP-forum
pages; it's like throwing a piece of raw meat
to the lions. Nice squirrel shot, Arthur!! :)

The expression on this squirrel's face might also be a response to an SP forum, "I can't believe so-and-so just said THAT!"
