Doi Inthanon Forest | [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ] |
This is a trail in Doi Inthanon National Park. It shows a typical dense jungle environment. The mountain has some of the tallest and best preserved montane forest in Thailand. It was a neat place to go hiking and the weather was very nice in winter Comments[ Post a Comment ] | mrchad9 | Nice addition | |

When would you suggest is the ideal time to visit the area? I'll actually be in Thailand next week as it happens, but was thinking for trekking and such in northern parts sometime in the winter like when you last went might be better... when not so hot? Didn't know if November too soon, or could go earlier, etc... | | Posted Apr 6, 2010 3:14 am |

Hasn't voted | Thanks! Winter is definitely the best time, December through February. November should be okay too. It’s hot and humid starting in March and lasting through June. Then the rainy season is from June through October. Some people hike during the rainy season but there are a lot of mosquitoes at that time and that’s why most people prefer winter. | | Posted Apr 6, 2010 12:44 pm |
