Thanks so much, mrchad! Goat was my very first High Sierra summit, so it's kind of like an old friend that I have to acknowledge whenever it's in view (which is surprisingly frequent). -Gordon

Ah... that must be the source of your love for those stark glaciated highlands. :-)
There may be some Scottish in me somewhere, but I'm mostly German (mother)-Irish (father). My ancestors did that whole 'wagon-train, Oregon Trail, cattle ranch, homestead' thing back in the nineteenth century. "Yippie Ki-Yay!" :-)
