Early morning on the ridge

Early morning on the ridge
Early morning, bad weather rolling in. Viento Blanco clouds all over the peaks in the area is a warning of a possible blizzard.
The only crux section on Koskulak ahead. First the ridge, which has to be traversed. It's not steep where you have to walk, possibly 45 degrees. You can't go too close to the left edge as there's a long cornice running along the full length of the traverse. It has a large overhang, sometimes up to five meters.
After the traverse the climb gets a bit steeper and you have to navigate around two enormous crevasses, which can be clearly seen on the photo.
Picture shot at about 6150-6200m.

Nicely composed, inspiring, and above all, very informative.

Looks like another really nice page in the works.

All the above can be said about your pages as well.

Thank you very much for that. And thank you for sharing Tibet with us. It looks like fantastic country, so clean and open and pristine. I will probably never see it, but I hope I will.

Yes, you should go here one day. Don't let all those stories about how tricky it is with permits and red tape scare you off. It's actually not much of a problem.
It's a fantastic place I just can't get enough of.

Is this the same spot at the earlier photo where you caught up to the roped climbers? It seems to fit that description. Good stuff you always submit here. Thanks.

This is shot from a lower place. The climbers I caught up with later must be just out of the photo on the left hand side. This is from the place where I first saw them. I was surprised to find them there, as I had climbed another line I hadn't seen any trail of other climbers. I caught them above the second rock outcropping on the photo above.
