Approach
From Bishop take 168 west towards N&S Lakes, at Izaak Walton Park make a left & follow to substation, turn west (right) up the dirt road Coyote Wash RD.until you reach Coyote flat (about 10 MI.) turn south (left) & follow to Baker Lakes. The road ends at the wilderness boundry.
Route Description
Hike up the basin to Baker lake then cross over to the south side of the basin, Head towards the saddle above Thunder & lighting Lake and follow the east ridge route.
Essential Gear
4x4 to get to coyote flat.
