| I climbed it as a dayhike from Onion Valley, with Darija Malinauskas, whom I ran into on the way. A fun ridge scramble. | ||

| cab | East Ridge ![]() Date Climbed: Jul 16, 2011 | |
| Dayhike from Onion Valley. Climbed up the east ridge and down the southeast chutes. The crux of the climb may have been crossing Bubbs Creek which was running high and fast. On the way back on the JMT before reaching Vidette Meadow, I came across two full grown bears playing/wrestling right on the trail which was pretty cool. | ||

| Sierra Challenge 2009. From East side-tedious scramble, and cool large summit boulders. The hike back up to Bullfrog lake was soooooo much fun!!!!! (not really) | ||

| seano | East Ridge (maybe) ![]() Date Climbed: Aug 17, 2009 | |
| First part of a Sierra Challenge twofer. Mixed class 2/3 with lots of bushes and dirt. It's a nice-looking peak, but the climb doesn't live up to it. | ||

| birdhead | SE Slope/East Ridge ![]() Date Climbed: Jul 15, 2009 | |
| A solo day trip from our camp at Charlotte Lake. Climbed some combination of a chute on the SE side lower down and what I think was the East Ridge higher up. Route was class 2-3 and there was fun scrambling near the top. Descended the wrong chute on the way down and had to traverse over to find easier ground. | ||

| Climbed the East Ridge with my buddy Demetri. I recall the route being nice with good, perhaps easy class 3, climbing. | ||

| SillyUncleKarl | June 28, 08 report ![]() Date Climbed: Jun 28, 2008 | |
| Nice straight-forward solo climb up northeast ridge, and some nice snow-sliding down. Only down-side were the pesky mosquito's that followed me to the top. | ||

| The first time I climbed this in 1979, the original register was still there. By the mid80's it was gone. Nice climb! | ||

| Desert Solitaire | Vidette Duo Dayhike ![]() Date Climbed: Aug 9, 2007 | |
| Dayhiked the two Videttes (West and East) during Day 7 of the 2007 Sierra Challenge. Descending from West Vidette, Bob pointed to the craggy and broken up West Face of East Vidette and said, "hmmm... I think there's a 3rd/4th class route somewhere on that face." That was all I needed to head straight up. Much better climbing than West Vidette. Descended the E/SE side. Car to Car time: 13 hours. | ||

| 3rd class ridge was fun with good views. The descent via the cl.2 chute wasn't fun. Peak #13 on JMT adventure. | ||

| derbilly | East Ridge ![]() Date Climbed: Oct 3, 2006 | |
| I climbed this peak while backpacking in the park for a week. It had snowed/rained 2 days earlier extinguishing a few small wildfires nearby thereby clearing the air. Little was left on the peak on the south-facing route. | ||

| I've been wanting to do this mountain for years, because it looked awesome from the photo in R.J. Secors first book. The climb was really enjoyable, & it gave me views from the summit, of another peak that's on my wish list. Deerhorn Mtn. | ||

| Bob Burd | East Ridge ![]() Date Climbed: Aug 10, 2006 | |
| Dayhiked with Evan on day 7 of the Sierra Challenge. The route can hardly be described as classic, but rather mundane. The North Side looks a good deal more exciting. | ||
