after living in the Roaring Fork Valley for fourteen years the Elks feel like my backyard. They seem a bit busy these days, but there are places still where you can find true quiet.

have summited the elk 14ers(castle, maroon, pyramid, capitol and snowmass) along with the centennials(cathedral, thunder pryamid and hagerman) along with other enjoyable peaks. great experiences! i can't wait to venture into this great range in the winter months!

I love the ELKS and the WEST ELKS! I put them up there just behind the Grenadiers, Crestones, and Rocky Mtn NP in terms of stoic ruggedness. The Bells though, they are the twin Matterhorns of Colorado. Everyone should at least stand in awe from Maroon Lake...

Am I supposed to have climbed all peaks to log in? I have repeated a few, skied some rare 12'ers near Marble...
