| Upper Cedar Creek wasn't great, but it wasn't really awful- I was able to find a remnant trail for about 70% of the way up the valley. Still, it took about 2 hrs to go the 3.5 miles to the open slopes. Once on the open slopes it was faster and really it was nothing more than endurance to reach the top. This scramble was much like the the USGS hike from the west, but this was a bit easier. There was a large cairn at the top, but no summit log. I left a PVC tube. It was 4.5 hrs up and 3.5 down. |
