Overview
Getting There
The main valley, from which all ascents start, is Savinjska dolina (The Valley of Savinja). Almost at its upper side is valley »Logarska dolina«. We can park by the mountain hut or Hut in Logarska dolina.Route Description - to Klemenca jama
From Logarska dolina to Klemenca jama we can choose two paths. First path leads from mountain hut in Logarska dolina (a little shorter) or from Hut in Logarska dolina. Both paths comes together about 10 minutes before we rich Klemenca jama. Hut “Klemenca jama” (also known as “Koca pod Ojstrico” is on small plateau, where is very nice view to Logarska dolina and all summits around.
On the path we will find also a nice spring with good water, there we can drink without of any problems.
Klemenca jama is also one of basic huts for approaching Ojstrica (2350m).
Time required for this part: about 1h
Route Description - from Klemenca jama to Kroficka
First part of path is through the wood, a part of path is renovated in this Year (2006), so it is very comfortable, also for nut so experience mountaineers. But this rules only for a first part of path (to crossroad to Strelovec).
Second part of path is much more exacting; in last part also very hard and steep. But also in last part, where the path is very steep, the people from Mountaineering association Solcava (“Planinsko drustvo Solcava”), they do in this Year (2006, from July 19/20) a large work with secure all dangerous parts of path. Very good work indeed, so now is this part convenient also for wider circle of mountaineers.
From Klemenca jama to summit of Kroficka we will need about 2h30min.
View from summit
On top (2083 m) isn’t large place because the summit is quite exposed. But for enjoying summits in neighborhood, it will be enough time and place. I hope all visitors will have so nice weather us we have on Saturday, July 22 of 2006.
Essential Gear
Good shoes, sticks, on last part of path (secured by steel ropes and pegs) we had have much more attention by climbing (not for people with fear of height).Nature
In neighborhood of hut Klemenca jama (10 minutes walk direction Kroficka) we find also one of largest larch in Slovenia. Flora there is very nice and our eyes can see a beauty of intactness nature.
