On Muflonowa Perć

Despite its summit being broad, flat and covered by forest, Gomólnik Mały (809m) has interesting rocks on its northeast side. In the late 2010s, a path that runs up the steep slope was waymarked. It was named Muflonowa Perć, after a thriving population of mouflon living a carefree life here until the recent arrival of the wolf. Where the Mouflon Path reaches the summit area there is a good vantage point with views of the nearby summits of Jeleniec and Rogowiec as well as the town of Głuszyca with the Sowie Mountains beyond it. As for the name of the mountain, it stems from the word Gomóła, which means a deer stag after he has shed his antlers.
