The ranch sits in the drainage of Blue Creek, a seasonal stream that runs out of the Chisos Mountains. The Blue Creek Trail goes down Blue Creek Canyon out of Chisos Basin, about 10 miles from the Chisos Basin trailhead. January 2010.
