Mănăstirea Horezu
is the most important monastic site in Wallachia and a masterpiece of „Brancoveanu art“. Being restored during communist period, the monastery of Horezu is one of favourite pilgrimage sites in Romania. Since 1993 it has been included in the UNESCO's World Cultural Heritage.
