A number of wild horses inhabit the area around Mad Wolf Mountain and Cut Bank Ridge. Their well-worn trails can be found on the forested northern slopes of Cut Bank Ridge, in addition to the open slopes near Mad Wolf, Basin and Spot mountains along Glacier's eastern front. This particular trail is one of many on the north slope of Mad Wolf Mountain. August 10, 2014
