Excellent day. Snow is melting fast; should have brought my skis. Did this with Peerless.

Solo climb and ski of Boudoir Couloir. Nearly continuous snow from Leavick minus two short parts on the road that were melted out and had to pop the skis off briefly. Sun hits this one early, keep that in mind on warm spring days!

I hiked 7 13ers and one fourteener. A great all day trip. Started at Leavick mining site. Hihed Horseshoe Mountain, Finnback Knob, Horseshoe Mountain again, Peerless Mountain, Mt. Sheridan, Mt. Sherman, Gemini Peak, Dyer Mountain and White Ridge. Great day.

Did the hike together with voxnihili and we saw as many bears as people (one each). Also saw a group of bighorn sheep. We also went across to Peerless. Eventhough voxnihili had some car problems it was overall a great first hike of my '11 CO trip.

Despite car troubles and afternoon storms forcing an early decent, this was a great hike. The horseshoe cirque was great, bear, deer, sheep, colorful flowers all helped make it a wonderful hike.

And then there were the views in all directions...

Went with Mike Smith and Shawn Donnelly (and dogs Okie and Jolie) - Kathy felt that it was too cold and stayed at the car. It certainly was cold to start out with, but then it really became about the wind. Seemed very similar to the 14ers.com Horn Fork fest last week on Columbia - which was clocked at 55mph. I recorded a temp of 10F on the summit, which would put wind chill at about -18F. Very rewarding hike!

I climbed Horseshoe Mtn. with my sister (her 1st centennial 13er). Horseshoe was the final bump of the day for us having hit up Sheridan and Peerless first after starting near the Dauntless Mine. I love Horseshoe, but this whole area makes me appreciate designated wilderness areas all the more. All the lazy people driving ATVs and 4WD vehicles all the way up to the saddle between Horseshoe and Peerless were quite a nuisance.

Another great day in the mountains. We enjoyed some solitude at the summit. Thank goodness the crowds flock to Sherman nearby instead of this mountain.

Nice and easy hike. Weather was overcast, wanted to stay close to Denver and went for this peak, no regrets, beautiful hike.

Lovely views of the handsome cirque on the way up from Fourmile Creek Rd. Menacing winds upon entering the saddle and the final romp of the ridge to the summit.

Skied a random line off the north end of the shoe, opposite the Boudoir. Much steeper, inset and aesthetic. Underrated mountain and another Centenniel in the bag.

Hiked with the 14ers.com spring outing group on a fairly pleasant spring day, although the wind was a bit of a nuisance. Added on Finnback, Peerless, Sheridan, Sherman, and White Ridge.

First time above tree line. First time to "climb" anything. First time to "traverse" anything (Peerless). First time to sign a summit log. That was a great surprise, by the way. Did not know that there was such a thing.
Thanks Deb, Sarah, Todd & Sherri for a great climb.
