Information

This three mile trail has an elevation gain of just over 600 feet but offers the Olympic Park visitor a chance to escape the crowds and see the backside of what I call the royalty of ONP: Stephen Peak, Mt. Olympus, West Peak, and Mt. Carrie. Most who come to ONP and admire the snow capped mountains never walk beyond and see the valleys and mountains found just to the north.

On a beautiful weekday in August I had the Hurricane Hill Trail practically to myself for two hours. Other than two people I passed who had stopped to watch ptarmigans in the bushes I walked in solitude. It was a wonderful way to view Olympic National Park on my own terms.

Please feel free to add your own images from hiking this trail.

Parents

Parents refers to a larger category under which an object falls. For example, theAconcagua mountain page has the 'Aconcagua Group' and the 'Seven Summits' asparents and is a parent itself to many routes, photos, and Trip Reports.
