Strawberry Hedgehog?

In a sheltered area of a granitic ridge, a cacti struggles to catch the sun. I'm not going to venture a guess as to the ID (cacti species). The next time I visit this area, I'll check it again for flowers. In the meantime, I'll just admire the devotion and stubborn persistence that these plants have with their Earth Mother. They were a real treat to look at. May 5, 2008 just outside of Payson, Arizona

Where's the strawberries?

Sure, get me excited about a cactus that grows strawberries and then its back down to earth when I realize that no such creation exists.
Nice pic Larry.

Re: Where's the strawberries?

Dean, you were just checking up on me???

Sometimes, it sounds like any place but
Earth would be a better place to live.

I still remember strawberries from the
Pacific NW - the delicious kind that
received all the moisture from the heavens.

Have a good one, Dean !!!
