Icebox Canyon - ZNP
What an entrance to this canyon! Be prepared for Bush Whacking. It's a delight though. It's in the Kolob section of the park and ends at one of the world's longest arches - Kolob Arch.

You just anchor the rope to something solid,
and hold on to the rope? Awesome. Looks like there's plenty of footholds. A Class III, maybe? Its always interesting how those trees take advantage of all the AVAILABLE WATER.

Great photo! Thanks for posting, Tanya!!! : > )

Thanks :)

Those are some long rappels in Icebox. It's a different kind of canyon than most in Zion - in the Kolob section. It's good there are a couple of trees. There are some bolts in there too here and there.

Great pics, thanks for all the work on the Zion Canyons. I had a good time in Icebox, managed to avoid swimming, but did crack my ankle pretty good. Beautiful canyon
